Metropoliz - Rome, in a former sausage factory currently occupied by and non-EU blocks precarious a man who thinks he's John the Baptist, is welcomed by the locals. The factory is about to open an exhibition contemporary art organized by MAAM, the museum actually built the building busy in defense of "metropoliziani" continually threatened with eviction. John Wanders between artists and befriends children Metropoliz confusing reality with its visions. Its intent is to bring together all the saints in Metropoliz to start preaching from that place but discover to be the performer of one of the invited artists.

A commissioner on vacation in a small Piedmontese village becomes involved in the murder of a local “seducer".

Mondo pioneer Franco Prosperi proved himself a more than capable director of narrative cinema with this intriguing suspense feature. Robert Webber stars as Clint Harris, a morose, high-paid New York hit-man sent on assignment to Paris to locate and eliminate the mysterious Frank Secchy, who`s making a move on Manhattan`s criminal underworld and was also responsible for the murder of Clint`s brother. Compelled by his boss (Cec Linder, the original Felix Leiter from Goldfinger) to take along deadweight sidekick Tony Lo Bello (a very young looking Franco Nero), Clint runs into trouble with a heroin-addicted woman who holds the key to Secchy`s whereabouts. There`s lots of shooting, some great Big Apple location footage for the first couple of reels, a fine score by Robby Poiteven, a twist ending, and even a night club scene where Take A Heart, the great freakbeat anthem by The Sorrows, plays out in its entirety. The film is decent in a washed-out, pan and scan print, so I imagine it would look great on disc. Here`s hoping.

A tale of thwarted love and mistaken and assumed identities, this comedy revolves around an ordinary man becoming ‘King for a Day’. Cavaliere di Belfiore has, to distract attention from the genuine monarch, assumed the identity of King Stanislas of Poland, and arrived with much pomp at the castle of Baron Kelbar near Brest. There he finds himself in the middle of preparations for two weddings: the baron's daughter Giulietta is, most unwillingly, to marry the elderly La Rocca, while a local military official is hoping for the hand of the Marchesa del Poggio. Can ‘King Stanislas’ use his regal power in time to disentangle these unhappy betrothals before his true identity is revealed?
